LEE
1
LEE Haw! It's
LEE1, with it's identifiable chrome sill panel / rocker moldings
and full roll cage. (If my opinion counts for anything, I think
this car 'was' the first
jumped simply because it is the least photographed of the GL's.
LEE1 was decommissioned early based on the visual evidence,

Check the factory dash speaker covers--interesting option.

Longshot of LEE1
|

This may or
may not be LEE1, seeing how things were shot so out of sequence
it may not be. This engine bay interior looks just like the Non-01/Promo/
California
tagged LEE. (Reference the engine bay photo in the Season 1 DVD
box set.)
Points of similarities are:A/C components, orange hood, red battery,
and a red and
blue/black cable drooping over the radiator frame. (Which brings
up another fun debate
question: Is the California tagged General, LEE3?) Looks like
the 'close-up' car to me.
|

I am now of the opinion that this car really is LEE 3.
Here's a theory--It stands to reason that LEE 3 was more than likely
designed
to be the close-up car. (The above shot represents a very clean
car, throughout.)
I wonder--What if the tight close-up shots were intended
to conceal the fact that this car had not been dressed with the
01's yet?
What if the idea was to wait until
LEE1 jumped, pull it's doors, then slap LEE1's doors on LEE3?
Maybe at the time replacing doors was faster than decaling them?
Certainly GA built Lees looked different.

That
hood underneath is black. Not polished orange.
Two cars for this scene.
